Pictures will follow soon. The heaviest fish was a conger eel which was taken out long enough to be weighed and have its picture taken and was then returned to the water successfully.

A great trip for all inolved. Plenty big cod, ling, coalfish, torsk, haddock and even some halibut (one halibut was caught on the fly).
Mike did well with lightweight pirks (200g) with low diamater braid to hit the bottom as fast as possible. All guys on the boat did well with the Puffin Lures from Savage Gear and stuck to 270g and 460g.
The mouth of the Figgate burn is a popular spot for beach anglers to fish for flatties. It’s also a popular bit for digging for lug.

Until January 2012 we will be closed on Sundays. We are still open from 9:00 till 5:30 every other day.
While our website will still be available 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year we are planning on limiting the shop opening hours over the winter. At the moment we are open 7 days a week but from the 1st of October 2011 to the 29th of February 2012 our opening times will be as follows:
